Confidentiality & Data Protection

All our sessions will be strictly confidential and guided by the ICF (International Coaching Federation). I will not share any information with any other parties, except in the following 3 circumstances:

  • if you have specifically asked me to discuss a matter with someone else,

  • if I have significant concerns for your wellbeing or the wellbeing of others,

  • to ensure my own continuous professional development, I have regular sessions with a specialist Coach-Mentor-Supervisor, within which I may share my overall practice with them. Anything disclosed is also subject to the same confidentiality agreement, and will not include details such as surnames, job titles or organisations, and will therefore not be traceable to you.

I may make notes during our sessions, including in electronic format. These notes will be kept strictly confidential and protected with appropriate passwords. Any information shared during conversations, including any personal details shared with me at any time (i.e., name, address, date of birth etc) will be stored in accordance with the 2018 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).

As a Client, you are welcome to share all details of our conversations with others and are not bound by the same confidentiality rules.

Ethical Considerations

I will not intrude into areas you wish to keep private, unless you indicate you are comfortable for me to do so.

I have a Diploma in Transformational Coaching. I am not a Doctor, Counsellor, or Psychiatrist. If you have any medical conditions that I should consider as part of our discussions, then please make me aware of this and we can explore how I can best support you.

If I feel that you need support beyond my coaching competence, or in other areas of expertise, then I will share this with you.

I ask that you take full responsibility to highlight if the Coaching causes you any negative impacts on your health or wellbeing at any stage.

Our Coach Relationship

To maximise the benefit of this programme:

  • we agree to both be open and honest throughout our sessions and use our conversations to help you explore your needs, unlock new insight, and identify tangible plans for change.

  • we commit to prepare for our sessions, to maximise their value.

  • we commit to capturing your unique coaching objectives, and reviewing the change and progress you are making towards your goals.

  • we commit to keeping our appointments respecting each other’s time. We will agree session arrangements in advance. If a pre-arranged session needs to be changed, then we should aim to give each other as much advanced notice as possible, at least 48 hours unless there is an unforeseen emergency. If a session is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or there is a no-show, then this may be chargeable.

  • throughout our coaching I invite you to be honest about the support you receive from me. I am committed to continuously developing my coaching practice and so I welcome regular feedback on what’s working and what’s not.

I ask that you:

  • help shape the programme to meet your goals by proactively discussing your goals and hopes.

  • prepare for all our sessions.

  • implement the changes that you aspire to make.
